This was my first time here. My Husband has been here before and he brought me here for lunch. I was very skeptical as I don't normally tend to try small older places like this. We were seated pretty quickly and immediately brought out cold water and hot tea. We waited a while and decided what we wanted but then had to flag down the waiter a few times and were finally told to wait because they were busy. The staff are definitely not the friendliest but the food came out fairly quickly, the portions were decent and it was good. The only difference between my Husband's "Sesame Chicken" and my "Sweet & Sour Chicken" was that mine had sauce drizzled on top of it, other than that, it was the same exact chicken I would come back.

The service and the speed were great. Very friendly and quick to bring out our food. The beef and green bean dish was great. The beef is very tender.
We also ordered the sweet and sour pork. It wasn't bad, but it could have been better. The batter is thin and maintains a lot of the oil.
Give the egg flower soup a try as well, it was the best I've had. -

So Yen's has been a staple in Tigard for many many years. It's your regular American style Chinese Food. Portions are good and quick for take out. Downside is servers are a little grumpy or just not super outgoing/friendly. Food itself lacks flavor most of the time. Example is Kung Pow chicken - even when I ordered medium it was bland. Very little chicken in the chicken chow mein. Yes, we will continue to order from here, but really wish they'd try upping their game - More Flavor, More Friendly.

First time here. Ordered 2 family combination "family" dinners that are supposed to be for 2 people or more. 2 of the # A's. And a side of steamed rice. This was NOWHERE near enough to feed 4 people. I received 2 crab puffs. Are the four of us supposed to split 2? There was 10 shrimp. For 4 people?!?!?! I spent $40 AND had to bring my own to go container for soup....if I could give this place a negative 10, I would. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE. Hell, at panda at least all 4 of us could've eaten for less than $40 and be full. THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE. I WILL NEVER, EVER come back. And I will tell everyone who will listen how terrible it is.
